Feeding Our Friends

It was a while ago that it happened, but the story still stays with me to this day.

I was with my mom, and we had gone to Walmart to pick up some groceries. As we were leaving the store, there was a homeless man with a dog next to him asking for food. As my mom and I pass him, we don’t say anything.

We get to the car and put the groceries in the trunk of my mom’s car. We hop in the car, and as we are driving by the homeless guy, my mom stops the car. I get out and walk up to the guy and give him some money.

Later that day I was out getting some lunch from Taco Bell. As I was leaving I see that same guy, but this time I don’t see the sign asking for food. I see him eating something, and I look down and see the dog is eating something too. The homeless guy had bought some dog food for the dog and something for him to eat.

As I drove away from Taco Bell that day, I felt really happy to see that he was getting something to eat, along with his companion.
